Thalippu vadagam is a sun-dried condiment prepared using small onions and other spices. Many South Indian dishes use keerai vadagam for tempering. Thalippu is the Tamil word for tempering. It is called by different names like onions vadagam, Kari vadagam, keerai vadagam.
